Princess Eugenie and Princess Kate have been shown to share a bond with Jordan’s Princess Rajwa Al Hussein.

The Jordanian royal shared time with both princesses in London as she visited the capital with her husband, Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II.

Princess Rajwa, a 31-year-old Saudi national, trained as an architect before marrying the heir apparent of Jordan in 2023.

Their wedding was held at Zahran Palace in the nation’s capital of Amman and was attended by global royals, including William and Kate.

The couple, who share a daughter, were welcomed to Windsor Castle on Wednesday by the Prince and Princess of Wales

Their meeting was commemorated with a photo of the four royals stood together in one of the residence's grand rooms.

However, Kate’s appearance for the audience came as a surprise as she was not listed on the press release announcing the meeting.

It is possible they chose to appear together as the Waleses are known to be friends with the Jordanian royals, with the couples being pictured together on multiple previous occasions.

Princess Rajwa also appears to share a friendship with Princess Eugenie, the youngest daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson.

On Tuesday, the 35-year-old Princess of York took to social media to document her engagement with the visiting foreign royal.

The pair toured Springfield University Hospital and the St George’s Mental Health NHS trust in the south west London.

Sharing pictures on Instagram, Eugenie and Princess Rajwa, were seen being led through the hospital and admiring some of the artwork on display.

“It was an absolute pleasure to visit Springfield University Hospital at South West London and St George’s Mental Health NHS trust with Princess Rajwa al Hussein in London on Monday,” the princess wrote on Instagram.

“We viewed a number of artworks created as part of an initiative by the charity Hospital Rooms, which integrates art into mental health care environments.

Their mission is to commission leading international artists to produce permanent, high-quality works for mental health wards across the UK’s National Health Service, helping create welcoming and uplifting spaces for patients.

Truly beautiful. Thank you for having us,” Eugenie signed off.

After their Windsor meeting on Wednesday, Prince William also spent time with his Jordanian opposite number – undertaking a joint engagement with Crown Prince Hussein at RAF Benson.

The South Oxfordshire Royal Air Force base provides rapid support for UK military operations around the world and is home to a number of Squadrons.

While there, William and the Crown Prince heard from personnel about their roles on site and experiences being deployed in operations around the world as they visited the No28 Squadron hangar to meet helicopter technicians and view aircraft.

Both the Prince of Wales and the Prince Hussein are trained helicopter pilots, with William training at both RAF Shawbury and then as a search and rescue pilot at RAF Valley with No22 Squadron, which reformed at RAF Benson in 2020.

The Crown Prince completed his pilot training with the Royal Jordanian Air Force (RJAF) in 2019.
