Princess Eugenie and James Middleton both had touching reactions to Princess Kate's latest health update.

On Friday, Kensington Palace issued a new photograph of Kate, alongside confirmation that the princess would attend Trooping the Colour on Saturday.

Kate has not appeared in public so far throughout 2024 after undergoing major abdominal surgery in January, meaning that Saturday's appearance will mark a historic occasion.

The Princess of Wales announced in March via video that she had begun a course of preventative chemotherapy for a type of cancer.

Following the video announcement, James Middleton, 37, was the first family member to publicly send his well-wishes to Kate.

Posting on Instagram, the princess's brother wrote: "Over the years, we have climbed many mountains together. As a family, we will climb this one with you too."

James accompanied his post with a throwback photograph of himself and the Princess of Wales as children.

On Friday, Princess Kate issued a written statement to the world, confirming that she would be attending Trooping the Colour at the weekend.

James publicly commented underneath the statement on social media, leaving a simple red heart emoji.

Meanwhile, Princess Eugenie, 34, liked the photograph on Instagram, showing her public affection for the Princess of Wales.

Kate's statement was paired with a brand new photograph of the mother-of-three, taken in Windsor earlier this week.

The mother-of-three donned a pinstriped blazer from Blaze Milano, with blue jeans and trainers as she posed underneath a tree.

Although confirming that she would be attending the monarch's birthday parade at the weekend, Kate acknowledged that she has "good days and bad days".

The princess added: "My treatment is ongoing and will be for a few more months. On the days I feel well enough, it is a joy to engage with school life, spend personal time on the things that give me energy and positivity, as well as starting to do a little work from home.

"I’m looking forward to attending The King’s Birthday Parade this weekend with my family and hope to join a few public engagements over the summer, but equally knowing I am not out of the woods yet.

"I am learning how to be patient, especially with uncertainty. Taking each day as it comes, listening to my body, and allowing myself to take this much needed time to heal."
