Princess Charlene of Monaco unveiled a striking new Tiffany & Co. brooch whilst attending Saint Devota festivities alongside Prince Albert on Tuesday.

The mother-of-two, who marked her birthday at the weekend, wore the Paris Flames piece for the first time in public.

Royal commentators have suggested the timing indicates the brooch may have been a birthday gift from her husband.

The accessory represents an unusual choice for the princess, who is not particularly renowned for collecting brooches, unlike many other royal women.

This makes the Tiffany creation a particularly noteworthy addition to her jewellery collection.

The couple were photographed displaying affection during the celebrations honouring Monaco's patron saint.

The brooch itself was originally designed by the celebrated Jean Schlumberger, whose pieces continue to be produced by the renowned jewellery house.

Its construction combines yellow gold and platinum in a spray formation that radiates outward from a central cluster of brilliant diamonds, evoking the dynamic movement of flickering flames.

The princely couple attended a pontifical Mass at Monaco Cathedral on the morning of January 27 as part of the Saint Devota commemorations.

The service was presided over by Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa, the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem.

Following the ceremony, Prince Albert and Princess Charlene watched the traditional procession of Saint Devota's relics through the Rock's narrow streets from the Salon des Glaces windows at the Prince's Palace, maintaining a cherished tradition of the Princely Family.

The couple's lavish three-day wedding took place in 2011, featuring a concert by The Eagles, a civil ceremony where Charlene wore a bespoke aquamarine Chanel suit, and a religious service in which she donned an Armani Privé gown adorned with 40,000 Swarovski crystals.

In recent months, the former Olympic swimmer has become increasingly visible in Monaco's royal engagements, frequently making subtle references to her relationship with Prince Albert.

At Le Gala de la Croix Rouge in July, she surprised attendees by delivering a rare speech honouring her husband as the principality celebrated two decades since his accession.

Her jewellery selections during November's National Day festivities proved equally symbolic. The princess chose to wear her three-carat pear-cut diamond engagement ring, which had sat unused for some time, before later appearing in her wedding tiara for the first time since 2011.

The Diamond Foam Tiara, created by jeweller Lorenz Bäumer as a gift from Prince Albert, features pear-shaped diamonds designed to resemble a wave, referencing Charlene's swimming background.
