Princess Beatrice travelled to New York at the weekend for a high society wedding as her parents, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, continue to weather renewed controversy.
The 37-year-old royal attended the Long Island nuptials of childhood friend James Green, 37, and his partner James Hirschfeld, 39.
Beatrice seemed to relish to opportunity to let her hair down as she attended the wedding of her longtime friend to the co-founder of the digital invitation service Paperless Post.
The King's niece donned a glittering black gown and wore her hair loose, appearing cheerful as she sat beside the newlyweds at their reception.

In a photo shared by one of the attendees, Beatrice could be seen with the happy couple while they enjoyed a meal.
The reception's guest list featured prominent society figures including photographer Count Nikolai von Bismarck, the former partner of Kate Moss and descendent of Germany's Iron Chancellor, Otto von Bismarck.
Also in attendance was Lydia Forte, whose father is hotelier Sir Rocco Forte, and historian Mary Wellesley, daughter of the 9th Duke of Wellington.
Mr Green and Mr Hirschfeld hosted their reception in their home's garden, where attendees dined beneath a marquee adorned with elaborate floral arrangements and candlelight.

The menu for the occasion featured Italian cuisine including porcini mushroom risotto, branzino al cartoccio and raspberry pavlova.
For wine, Beatrice and the other guests were offered selections of Fattoria Sardi Bernardino Colline Lucchesi 2022 white wine and Livio Sassetti Livio Pertimali Chianti Classico 2022 red.
The celebration came as Sarah Ferguson renewed public scrutiny after an she sent to the late disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein in 2011 emerged.
In the correspondence, she referred to Epstein as her "supreme friend" and appeared to express regret for her earlier public condemnation of him.
