Athena is 11th in the Royal Family's line of succession

Princess Beatrice represented the Royal Family at the parade celebrating England's victory in the Women's European Championship.

The Princess of York was pictured in the crowd that had gathered at Buckingham Palace to cheer on the Lionesses following their triumph.

Beatrice was joined by her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and their two daughters, Sienna and Athena.

The outing marks the first time Athena has been seen in public since her birth in January 2025.

Edoardo's son and Beatrice's stepson Wolfie, also joined them at the parade.

Athena is 11th in line to the throne, behind her elder sister Sienna, and is the fourth grandchild of the Duke of York and his ex-wife, Sarah, Duchess of York.

Edoardo announced the birth on Instagram, describing his daughter as "tiny and absolutely perfect".

The King, the Queen and other members of the Royal family were said to be "delighted" with the news.

No working members of the Royal Family were present at the victory celebration at Buckingham Palace this afternoon.

Thousands of England fans gathered down the mall to watch England's open bus parade make its way to the royal residence on Tuesday.

The Lionesses waved to the ecstatic fans during the parade but were not greeted by any members of the monarchy upon their arrival at Buckingham Palace.

However, Prince William and Princess Charlotte travelled to Basel, Switzerland, on Sunday to support the Lionesses against Spain.

The Prince of Wales, who is Patron of the Football Association, presented medals to both the English and Spanish players following the conclusion of the tournament's final.

Following the match, Princess Charlotte and Prince William issued a rare joint statement congratulating the Lionesses.

The statement read: "What a game! @lionesses, you are the champions of Europe and we couldn’t be prouder of the whole team. Enjoy this moment @England."

Marking a royal first, the congratulations were signed off: "W & Charlotte."

King Charles also issued a statement on behalf of the Royal Family, congratulating the England team on their second European title.
