Princess Beatrice has "cemented her place in the monarchy", according to a commentator, who has predicted that the Princess of York will receive a "deeply meaningful" gift for her 37th birthday today.
Emma Snowdon, Creative Director at Berganza, told Britain's number one news channel that a carefully chosen piece of antique jewellery would be a “deeply meaningful tribute” to the royal mother-of-two.
“As Princess Beatrice celebrates another milestone year, both as a mother and a royal, a carefully chosen piece of antique jewellery would be a fitting and deeply meaningful tribute,” she said.

“Within the Royal Family, jewellery has long symbolised love, legacy, and personal style.
"From Queen Elizabeth II’s beloved three-strand pearl necklace, gifted by her father, to Princess Margaret’s striking Art Deco bracelet for her 21st birthday, jewels mark life’s most significant moments. These are more than adornments, they are heirlooms that tell a story.”
Princess Beatrice’s fashion sense is widely admired for its vintage and romantic undertones, often echoing royal tradition while remaining contemporary.
“Beatrice’s personal style is distinctly elegant, favouring vintage silhouettes and timeless accessories. This makes her a natural candidate for antique jewellery, pieces that carry both story and soul,” Snowdon continued.
“A gift might echo the refined craftsmanship of the Edwardian era or the soft femininity of the Victorian period, aligning beautifully with her understated and romantic aesthetic.”
The sentimental value behind antique pieces is something that resonates particularly strongly within the royal fold, where jewels are often chosen not just for their design, but for the deeper meanings they convey.
“Antique jewellery is especially resonant within royal circles due to its provenance, rarity, and symbolic depth,” Snowdon explained.
“Gemstones often add layers of meaning: sapphires for wisdom and loyalty, emeralds for rebirth and protection, pearls for purity and grace. For a modern royal, a Georgian or Art Deco brooch, or a delicate Victorian locket symbolising motherhood and memory, would feel both personal and regal.”

Beatrice shares two daughters, Sienna, born in 2021, and baby Athena, who arrived in January.
As she celebrates both her growing family and her royal responsibilities, Snowdon believes there’s no better time to gift a jewel with emotional weight and historical relevance.
“Antique pieces also carry with them a sense of permanence and legacy, making them especially appropriate for moments of personal and professional significance,” she added.
“Ultimately, gifting antique jewellery isn’t just about beauty; it’s about giving something irreplaceable, steeped in history, and made to be passed down through generations.
"For Princess Beatrice, a piece chosen with care would reflect not only her unique style but also her place within the enduring narrative of the monarchy — a fitting tribute to a royal who balances tradition with modernity.”
