Prince William hasinterrupted his summer break at Balmoral with a heartfelt message in which he showed off a key skill.
The Prince of Wales issued his best wishes to the Welsh Women’s rugby team in both English and Welsh as they face Scotland in the Rugby World Cup.
William, as patron of the Welsh Rugby Union, has close ties to both the men and women’s side.

His message, shared on social media, began: "Good luck to Wales Women as they kick off their Rugby World Cup campaign against Scotland today!”

The Prince then impressively switched to Welsh, writing: “Pob lwc, Cymru — ewch amdani! W.”
Translated to English, his message reads: “Good Luck Wales, go for it!”
Another version of his best wishes were also shared completely in Welsh, which said: "Pob lwc i Dîm Merched Cymru wrth iddynt gychwyn eu hymgyrch yng Nghwpan Rygbi’r Byd yn erbyn yr Alban heddiw! Pob lwc, Cymru – ewch amdani! W"
William signed off his both statements with the customary "W" initial, signifying it had come directly from him.
His heartfelt statement followed a message from Princess Kate, who cheered on England’s women in their game against the US.
William has been patron of the Welsh Rugby Union since 2016

Kate serves a similar role to her husband as patron of English Rugby.
“Wishing the Red Roses the very best as they kick off their Women’s Rugby World Cup campaign tonight.
“I look forward to cheering you on and seeing the team rise to the challenge on home soil! C,” she wrote.
Evidently the well wishes worked a treat, as the Red Roses thrashed the American visitors 69-7.

William will be hoping his own message will have the same influence as Wales take on Scotland on Saturday.
The game, held at the Salford Community Stadium, will begin at 2.45pm.
The Prince of Wales succeeded his grandmother, the late Queen Elizabeth II, as patron of the Welsh Rugby Union in 2016.
Princess Kate became Patron of the English Rugby Football Union and Rugby Football League in 2022.
