Andrew Evans, a senior director at KLA, guided the prince through the facility where employees manufacture wafers and chips for major global semiconductor producers.
The company's SPTS division has maintained operations in the South Wales city for over four decades, housing both manufacturing and research functions.
During his visit, William observed production areas and a demonstration laboratory whilst engaging with apprentices and recent graduates working at the site.
He also held discussions with representatives from the company's regional supply network, highlighting the firm's integration with local businesses.

Welsh Government data indicates that 1,545 foreign-owned enterprises currently operate across Wales, providing employment for over 176,500 people.
The gathering aims to showcase Wales as a destination for international investment, with organisers highlighting the nation's technological capabilities and skilled workforce.

First Minister Eluned Morgan expressed gratitude for William's involvement, stating: "I'm delighted that we're going to be joined by His Royal Highness, the Prince of Wales, and I'd like to thank him for his steadfast support in promoting our country."
