The Prince and Princess of Wales brushed off all the negative accusations for a night at the Royal Albert Hall

Princess Kate and Prince William were greeted with a standing ovation at the Royal Albert Hall for the Royal Variety Performance.

The Prince and Princess of Wales attended the show alongside the Crown Princess of Sweden and her husband Prince Daniel.

On Thursday evening, Kate and William walked hand-in-hand to the London venue after the Princess of Wales was named in the Dutch translation of Omid Scobie's new royal book, along with King Charles, as the royals that allegedly raised "concern" over Prince Archie's skin colour.

The author has denied responsibility after Kate and King Charles were named in the Dutch version of Endgame.

Scobie was quizzed by the hosts of This Morning, Alison Hammond and Craig Doyle, about leaking the names to the Dutch translators in a publicity stunt.

He responded: "The reality, though, is that this is information that is not privy just to me, journalists across Fleet Street have known those names for a long time.

"I have never submitted a book that had their names in it, so I can only talk about my version."

However, one of the Dutch translators has insisted that "the names of the royals were there in black and white" when she received the manuscript.

The Prince and Princess of Wales looked delighted as they received a standing ovation on Thursday evening.

Kate looked splendid wearing a blue cape gown from the brand Safiyaa.

This comes as the Royal Family are said to be "united in outrage" and considering legal action after the names were reported by media outlets across the world.

Meghan Markle first raised the allegations about an unnamed member of the Royal Family having "concerns and conversations" about Prince Archie's skin colour in her 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey.

But sources close to the Duchess of Sussex insist that she "never intended them to be publicly identified".

The sources also told The Telegraph that the reported letter between King Charles and Meghan that originally contained the names "was not leaked to Scobie by anyone in her camp".

Buckingham Palace has so far not responded to any of the claims made by Omid Scobie in his sensational book.
