The Duke of Sussex also mentioned his ex-girlfriend, Chelsy Davy

Prince Harry has named his brother Prince William, sister-in-law Princess Kate, father King Charles, and former girlfriend Chelsy Davy in a witness statement submitted to the High Court today.

The Duke of Sussex filed the document as part of his ongoing legal action against Associated Newspapers, which publishes the Daily Mail and The Mail on Sunday.

Harry, 41, took the stand to give evidence in London on Wednesday, joining several other high-profile claimants who accuse the newspaper group of unlawfully gathering private information. The publisher denies these allegations.

The list of 10 associates was included to demonstrate individuals Harry claims he regularly communicated with between approximately 1996 and 2014, bolstering his argument that personal details could only have been obtained through illegal methods.

The witness statement characterised the brothers' bond during those years as one built on mutual confidence and openness.

"Due to his position, the press have always been very interested in him," Harry wrote of William.

"As brothers, we naturally discussed personal aspects of our lives as we trusted each other with the highly sensitive information we shared about our private, family and professional lives."

This portrayal of their former closeness stands in stark contrast to their current relationship. The siblings have been publicly estranged for several years.

Sources have confirmed that during Harry's present trip to London for the trial, no meetings with William were scheduled. The tensions between them remain unresolved.

King Charles appeared second on the list, with Harry noting the intense press scrutiny his father faced due to his royal position.

"During the Relevant Period, my father and I were in regular contact," the statement reads. Harry added that voicemails left on his father's landline phone by himself, relatives and Royal Household staff contained "highly personal, private and sensitive information."

Despite both being in Britain simultaneously, Harry had no arrangements to see the King during this visit, months after their reunion in London last September.

The entry for Ms Davy, whom Harry dated intermittently from 2004 until around 2010, detailed their predominantly long-distance relationship across different countries.

Harry stated he trusted Ms Davy "with the most private of information," noting that private investigator Gavin Burrows admitted conducting "lots of unlawful activities" concerning her.

Princess Kate's entry proved the most concise of all those listed, appearing ninth with minimal elaboration.

The statement simply noted: "HRH The Princess of Wales, my brother's wife."

Among the other individuals named were Mark Dyer, a former royal equerry, Harry's one-time private secretary, Helen Asprey, and Tiggy Legge-Bourke, who looked after both princes during their childhood.

Elsewhere in his filing, Harry addressed the constraints he felt as a working royal when dealing with press coverage.

"There was no alternative; I was conditioned to accept it," he stated, referring to the monarchy's traditional stance of "never complain, never explain."

Harry described feeling obligated to follow this approach as "a member of the Institution." Proceedings are scheduled to continue until March, when the trial is expected to conclude. A judgment will be delivered in written form at a subsequent date.
