Prince Harry's memoir Spare remains the fastest-selling debut of the year, as Britney Spears's new autobiography failed to match the Duke of Sussex's 1.6 million sales in its first week.
The 41-year-old singer released her memoir “The Woman in Me” on October 24, and in its first week it has sold a whopping 1.1 million copies in America.
Spears released a statement on Wednesday with Gallery Books, a division of Simon & Schuster.
She said: “I poured my heart and soul into my memoir, and I am grateful to my fans and readers around the world for their unwavering support.”

As well as documenting her musical career, Spears's memoir focuses on the conservatorship that for many years granted her father control of much of her life.
However, despite the mass anticipation surrounding the book, it failed to match the Duke of Sussex's record for the amount of sales in its first week.
When Prince Harry released Spare in January 2023, the royal sat down for multiple interviews to promote the memoir.
Several excerpts had been leaked in the days leading up to its release, which led to a worldwide reaction.

For instance, the duke recounted a story which involved a physical fight between him and his brother, Prince William, over Meghan Markle.
The story generated several memes online, including a dramatised skit on Jimmy Kimmel Live! where actors reenacted the fight scene between William and Harry.
The duke also divulged personal information about losing his virginity to an "older lady".
In addition, Prince Harry released more details about the story that Princess Kate made Meghan Markle cry.

The fascination with a royal memoir is undoubtedly what caused it to be a world best-selling book.
When Spears released her memoir last week, she had done no media appearances to promote the book beforehand.
Instead, she relied on her social media posts to increase anticipation among her fans.
