Prince Harry’s future within the Royal family is set “to be decided by Prince William,” a royal expert has claimed.
The Duke of Sussex officially stepped back as a senior royal in January 2020 and left the UK to live with Meghan Markle in Montecito.
The prince has remained overseas ever since, but told the BBC in May that he “would love a reconciliation” with King Charles and the rest of the Royal Family.
Now, Tina Brown believes: “It’s very sad what’s happened to them. I have never seen anybody in professional life make as many mistakes as Meghan has, and unfortunately Harry is not the brightest bulb, either.

“I’d like to see a way for him to make amends with his family, but it gets harder and harder as the years go by.
“I think that William is going to be the decider of that, and I think William has a very tough view of the whole situation, which is that the betrayal of Harry is not something that can be remedied.
Brown, who reported on the royals for Tatler, Vanity Fair, and The New Yorker, continued: “He thought that Meghan would be his guide in the big wide world beyond Buckingham Palace, and it turns out that Meghan makes one terrible professional decision after another.”
Ms Brown was well acquainted with Diana, having known her from the time that she met the now-King.
Tina and the princess had an infamous lunch in New York City, with Vogue editor in July 1997, just six weeks before Diana’s death.
She continued: “Now they’re pariahs everywhere, it seems, which is a very difficult situation for them because America was supposed to be the place that paid the bills.

“What is sad is that Harry’s very good at being a prince. He’s charming, he’s upbeat, he’s attractive, he makes people happy when he walks into a room, he’s very good with young people.
“You could send him around the world and he’s always going to be welcomed and appealing. And I think he has realised too late that he was born to be a prince.
“And now he’s essentially just some guy doing PR gigs while Meghan tries out her latest cooking idea or whatever.
“It looks more and more as if Harry’s best decision would be to find a way to come back to England.”

The verdict comes just days after it was revealed that a communication breakdown had occurred between Buckingham Palace and Harry and Meghan.
A report has revealed that there was confusion over Harry’s recent trip to Toronto, clashing with William’s visit to Brazil.
Harry’s office told reporters that “the Palace” had been informed “as a courtesy” before the trip was announced to the public.

Prince Harry's trip to Toronto was seen by some as an attempt to overshadow Prince William's first trip to South America

However, according to The Times, neither Buckingham Palace nor Kensington Palace received any notification.
When Harry’s office was asked when the warning was given and to whom, they did not respond.
