This is a significant moment; for the first time in years, we have concrete evidence that the King and Harry's aides have held face-to-face talks.
Paparazzi photographs showed the King's Director of Communications, Tobyn Andreae, sitting down with Meredith Maines, Prince Harry and Meghan's close aide, as well as Liam Maguire, Prince Harry and Meghan's new UK Director of Communications, at the Royal Overseas League nearby Clarence House.
Sources close to Prince Harry suggested they are "disappointed" with the leak; neither Buckingham Palace nor the Sussexes' team are commenting.
However, it is a huge coincidence that a photographer just happened to be there to capture the moment, which could signal an important step forward in mending the relationship between Prince Harry and his father.

It is unlikely that the King's senior aide and Harry and Meghan's top aides would agree to sit down together without their principals' blessings, suggesting both the King and Harry agree the "royal feud" cannot continue indefinitely.
Although we don't know exactly what was discussed at the meeting, I understand Meredith Maines was primarily in London to meet Prince Harry's UK-based staff, journalists, and senior figures from the royal's patronages.
It appears she also made time for a meeting with the King's Director of Communications in this "entirely routine" visit to the United Kingdom; Maines usually works out of Montecito to be close to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
One royal team was noticeably absent from the meeting - that of the Prince and Princess of Wales.
In May, Prince Harry told the BBC he would like "reconciliation" with his father, the King, but conceded some members of his family would "never forgive" him.
The Prince didn't specifically mention his brother, and the claim was purely Harry's opinion, but it is thought the two princes are not on speaking terms.
Despite the Netflix documentary series, Prince Harry's memoir, Spare, and other media interviews relating to his family, His Majesty appears still willing to build bridges.
Prince William, on the other hand, is focused on his young family and supporting his wife with her "rollercoaster" cancer recovery, balancing all this with his duties as heir to the throne.
I suspect mending the relationship with his brother isn't particularly high on his priority list. So, where does this leave us?
Well, no details have been officially released from the meeting at the Royal Overseas League, but it was thought to involve preliminary discussions around media clashes.
Prince Harry is expected to return to the United Kingdom in September for the WellChild awards, one of his patronages which champions the wellbeing of severely ill and disabled children, while the King is in Scotland.
It is possible that a private meeting between the King and Prince Harry could take place during this time, but neither side will confirm if this was discussed.
The ultimate goal, perhaps, will be the Invictus Games in 2027, to be held in Birmingham.
Email invitations have already been sent to the Royal Family, although official royal diaries book up months or even years in advance.
In 2014, both the King and Prince William helped Prince Harry launch the inaugural Invictus Games (a paralympic-style competition for sick and wounded veterans and soldiers) in London.
If I were being optimistic, last week's meeting could possibly signal the beginning of the end of the "royal feud".
