Netflix is set to feature the party where Prince Harry wore a Nazi outfit in its new season of The Crown.

A photograph of Prince Harry dressed as a Nazi at a “native and colonial” fancy dress bash was pictured across The Sun's front page in January 2005.

The Royal Family issued an apology on behalf of Prince Harry, then 20, following the incident.

The Duke of Sussex addressed the incident in a Netflix series with Meghan Markle in December 2022 and in his bombshell autobiography which was released in January 2023.

An insider told The Sun: "It is one of the most shameful incidents in Harry’s life and one that he finally addressed in December.

"Older generations will remember The Sun’s ‘Harry The Nazi’ story and photo but this past episode in Harry’s life may come as news to Netflix’s many younger viewers.

"In more recent times, Harry has made claims about racism in the UK and unconscious bias in the Royal Family on Netflix.

"It is kind of ironic that Netflix is the one to bring up this incident."

Earlier this year, Prince Harry used his memoir Spare to partly blame the Prince and Princess of Wales for his decision to dress up as a Nazi soldier in 2005.

Prince Harry said: "I phoned Willy and Kate, asked what they thought. Nazi uniform, they said."

He added on Kate and William’s reaction to seeing him wearing the costume: "They both howled. Worse than Willy’s leotard outfit! Way more ridiculous! Which, again, was the point."

The Duke of Sussex stated he would have worn a pilot costume had he not chosen the Nazi outfit.

Prince William also attended the party dressed as a lion.

Prince Harry has previously called the decision to dress up as a Nazi as “one of the biggest mistakes of my life”.

A senior publishing source told Page Six following regarding Harry’s sensational claim: “It’s strange as you would think that Harry would take ownership of this and just move on and not drag his brother into it.

“But he makes it clear that he feels strongly about William’s role in the scandal.”
