The reason behind Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's deletion from Kim Kardashian's Instagram post at her mother Kris Jenner's 70th birthday party has been allegedly revealed.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were among a number of A-list celebrities at the event, held at the multi-million-pound mansion of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos in Beverly Hills.

It is understood that Harry and Meghan did not agree that pictures taken of them inside the party could be publicly shared, according to People.

The couple, who have been married for seven years, allegedly ticked the "no" option on a photo consent form, which caused the images to be deleted from the social media posts.

GB News has contacted the Sussexes' team for comment on the matter.

The picture, which displayed both Meghan and Ms Kardashian, 45, together at the glamorous event, was initially removed from the social media post without any public statement regarding its deletion.

The photograph had been part of a larger carousel of images celebrating the Saturday evening party.

The removed image captured Ms Kardashian wearing a glittering purple two-piece ensemble, whilst Meghan appeared in an elegant Balenciaga black turtleneck paired with a wrap skirt.

The Duchess accessorised her outfit with striking gold chain earrings and styled her hair in a sleek, pulled-back updo.

Ms Kardashian's attire was inspired by Halle Berry's costume in the 2002 James Bond film Die Another Day, fitting perfectly with the evening's espionage theme.

Guests enjoyed a James Bond-themed evening complete with casino tables for poker and roulette.

The star-studded guest list included close friend of Meghan, Oprah Winfrey, as well as Mariah Carey, Tyler Perry, Vin Diesel, Mark Zuckerberg, Adele and Rich Paul.

Beyoncé and Jay-Z were also in attendance at the exclusive gathering.

Live entertainment was provided by Bruno Mars as those in attendance danced underneath a marquee on the estate's grounds.

Several of the stars of Ms Kardashian's new Hulu series All's Fair joined her at the celebrations, including Naomi Watts, Sarah Paulson, Niecy Nash, Teyana Taylor, and the show's creator, Ryan Murphy.

During the birthday festivities, Kris was joined not only by her daughter Kim but also by her other children, including Khloe, Kourtney, Kylie, and Kendall.

Before the birthday festivities, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended the Baby2Baby Gala at West Hollywood's Pacific Design Centre.

The couple appeared at the charitable function to support tennis champion Serena Williams, who received recognition for her dedication to children's welfare and maternal health advocacy.
