The Duke of Sussex and King Charles met at Clarence House on September 10

Prince Harry and King Charles's reunion earlier this month has been brutally mocked as an awkward exchange between grotesque rubber puppets.

The cruel spin on the father and son’s meeting, their first in over a year and a half, was put on by the legendary satirical show, Spitting Image.

In the new web show iteration of the classic programme, Prince Harry features as a main character where he is represented as unflattering grinning puppet with a receding ginger hairline.

The puppet Harry hosts a podcast called “The Rest is B******t," a play on Rory Stewart and Alastair Campbell's The Rest is Politics, alongside a drug addled mockery of Paddington Bear.

In a new clip shared across social media, both the Harry and Paddington puppets discussed the recent meeting between the real Harry and King Charles.

“I saw my father, the other king, this week after the longest time,” the puppet Harry began.

“It was mega,” he declared in a cod royal accent, explaining: “We spent almost 50 minutes together and didn’t know where to start.”

The footage then cut to puppet Harry and a similarly unsympathetic rendering of King Charles sitting together.

The two puppets are seen sitting in total silence against an opulent background, as a clock loudly ticks around them.

Several fades in and out of black show the pair still awkwardly not talking, occasionally clearing their throats and nearly falling asleep.

Suddenly, the clock chimes and Harry leaps away from the meeting with the parting words: “Go to go. Ciao, dad!"

King Charles’s puppet is then left alone and glumly looks down at his shoes.

Spitting Image’s brutal rendition of the meeting appears to have departed somewhat from the actual reporting of the event from Prince Harry himself.

Following the meeting at Clarence House on September 10, the Duke of Sussex had declared his father was “great” when asked by reporters at an engagement later that evening.

The meeting was the first time the King and his estranged son had met since February 2024, soon after Buckingham Palace announced that the monarch was undergoing cancer treatment.

It came as the Duke of Sussex made a four-day return to the UK, which saw him drop in on some of his most treasured causes.

Harry was also asked if the trip would lead to further visits to the UK, perhaps even alongside his children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

“Yes, I would,” he responded when asked if he would like to return more often.

“This week has definitely brought that closer,” he added.

Regarding his relationship with other members of the Royal Family, Harry said: “The focus really has to be on my dad.”
