The estranged father and son last met in February 2024, as the monarch announced he was undergoing cancer treatment

King Charles has landed at RAF Northolt in West London, sparking much speculation about whether he will meet his estranged son, Prince Harry.

The Sovereign is thought to be travelling from Balmoral to Clarence House, just a couple of miles from where The Duke of Sussex is visiting the Centre for Blast Injury Studies at Imperial College London.

This leaves a gap in The Duke's schedule, ahead of a private reception this evening for the Invictus Games Foundation.

It is unclear if King Charles also has a gap in his diary, but he is not scheduled to carry out any public engagements today.

Logistically, it is possible that The King and Prince Harry could meet in person for the first time since February 2024.

But, the possibility of a meeting isn't just about logistics.

It has been a long, and turbulent, five years - sparked by Prince Harry's exit as a working member of the Royal Family.

The relationship between the two is fractured, and King Charles will need to know he can trust his son not to leak any private conversations - if any meeting goes ahead.

This summer, two of The Duke's aides were spotted at a meeting with The King's Communications Secretary, close to Buckingham Palace.

This suggests there is some willingness on both sides to start repairing bonds, even if just to make sure there is no diary clashes.

Prince Harry is expected to return to Los Angeles tomorrow, meaning the window is tight for any meeting between father and son.

As for Prince William, he is in Cardiff announcing a new mental health centre, funded by his Royal Foundation.

The two estranged brothers are not on speaking terms, and it is highly unlikely they will meet in the little time Prince Harry has left in the UK.
