The future King will start secondary school in September 2024

Kate and William "had a look" at a school for Prince George, which Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis can also attend, it has been claimed.

The Prince and Princess of Wales have reportedly looked at a £47,000-a-year school in Oxford called St Edward's School, or "Teddies", as it is affectionately known.

It is unclear when the royal couple visited the school, as Kate, 42, underwent "successful" planned abdominal surgery in January and is currently resting at her Windsor home of Adelaide Cottage.

A Teddies grandee told The Mail: "They've been to have a look."

The co-educational institution was founded in 1863 by the Reverend Thomas Chamberlain.

Their alumni include actor Laurence Olivier and Oppenheimer actress Florence Pugh.

A golf course and a boat house are featured in the 100-acre school in north Oxford.

According to the school's website, pupils are encouraged to look beyond exam results and focus on long-term life goals.

Therefore, children study "Pathways and Perspective" courses alongside their GCSEs.

The Prince and Princess of Wales are also known to champion youth mental health, which is another philosophy prioritised at "Teddies".

This comes as earlier this month, Kate and William were reportedly considering Oundle School as an educational option for their 10-year-old son.

Prince William is thought to be keen to send George to Eton, the same single-sex institution he attended alongside his younger brother, Prince Harry.

Meanwhile Kate, according to reports, would prefer for Prince George to attend her former school, Marlborough College.

The royals toured the £47,000-a-year school in 2023.

Sending George to a co-educational school would allow both his siblings Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis to attend alongside him.
