The Duchess of Sussex shared the tribute on social media

Meghan Markle has posted a heartfelt Father's Day message on Instagram, calling Prince Harry "the best" father to their two children.

The Duchess of Sussex shared the tribute alongside previously unseen video footage of the duke with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

"Happy Father's Day to our favourite guy," the duchess wrote in her post on Sunday evening. The Instagram reel provided an intimate glimpse into family moments rarely shared with the public.

Set to Jason Mraz's acoustic rendition of "Have It All", the montage showcased various clips and photographs of Harry engaging in everyday parenting activities with his children.

The footage revealed Harry teaching six-year-old Archie to ride a bicycle and dancing with him in their California home.

Beach outings featured prominently in the compilation, showcasing the family enjoying time together by the ocean.

The duke was captured reading to a baby Archie in one clip, whilst other moments showed him playing with both children on swings and near waterfalls.

The video also included scenes of Harry cradling his children as newborns.

In one playful sequence, the duke was seen "horsing around" with Archie and Lilibet, demonstrating the close bond he shares with his young children.

The duchess had arranged for a special Father's Day banner to be displayed in the family's Montecito garden, creating a festive backdrop for the celebration.

In one touching scene from the video, Harry was shown sitting with both children on his lap, holding them close beneath the decorative banner.

The California garden setting provided the location for several of the family moments captured in the montage.

These outdoor scenes offered viewers a glimpse of the Sussex family's home environment, where the children appear to spend considerable time playing and bonding with their father.

This public sharing of family footage represents a notable shift for the couple, who have historically guarded their children's privacy since relocating to California.

The Sussexes stepped down from their roles as working royals in 2020 and moved to the United States, where they have maintained a relatively private family life.

The Instagram post marks one of several recent instances where the couple have offered more personal insights into their home life. Such glimpses into the Sussex family's daily activities have been rare, making this Father's Day tribute particularly significant for those following the family's journey since their departure from Britain.
