The book, called ‘Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York’, proposes a narrative about Andrew’s life based on a number of sources.
One source “close to Andrew” claimed to Lownie that the Duke: “Had his first sexual experience aged eight and lost his virginity at 11.”
Later, the same source also alleged: “He admitted that his second sexual experience came before he turned 12 and when he was 13 he had already slept with more than half-a-dozen girls.
GB News has approached the Duke of York’s representatives for comment.

The book’s allegations were echoed by another source, also close to the Duke, who told the Telegraph he had: “Alluded to sexual experiences at what most of us would consider as too young an age, poor chap”.
“The Duke’s personal story is far more complex than people realise or have ever been prepared to properly consider”.
For his part, Lownie said he chose to include these suggestions about Andrew to help construct a more complete picture of the Duke of York’s life story.
“It seemed to me it was part of building a picture of behaviour, and how it shaped his life,” he said.

“I think he (Andrew), in some ways, has been a victim. It does make him much more sympathetic, in a way,” Lownie said.
The author's new book has been advertised as the “most devastating royal biography ever written”.
Lownie revealed it had taken four years of intensive research, pooling over hundreds of interviews with apparent insiders.
