Pippa Middleton helped her sister write the script for her video announcing she is receiving treatment for cancer.
The Princess of Wales video in March 2024 shared how tests after abdominal surgery showed cancer was present and she was in the beginning stages of her chemotherapy.
As revealed by Russell Myers in his new book, William and Catherine: The Monarchy's New Era: The Inside Story, Pippa took time to help Catherine plan what she would say.
An excerpt in the book published by The Sunay Mirror read: "Catherine's family rallied round, with her sister Pippa helping to write the script for the short video statement."

The Princess of Wales announced in January 2025 she is in remission after saying her chemotherapy treatment was completed in September 2024.
Her "bravery" to be so open with her cancer diagnosis, alongside King Charles, who shared he was starting to scale back his treatment in January 2026, has had a significant impact on the general public.
Senior health information officer at Cancer Research UK, Amy Hirst, discussed with GB News the positive effect the royals have had by talking about cancer and "destigmatising" the topic.

She said: "Cancer can affect anyone. The bravery of the princess and the King, coming forward with that story, knowing that they've got a lot of eyes on them - it's so brave.
"We really appreciate that hope and honesty. It's that really important reminder for people to listen to their bodies when something doesn't look or feel quite right.
"And the more we talk about cancer, the better, and we have made a lot of progress in research. There is hope."
Ms Hirst discussed the key point raised by the King of early diagnosis and how the screening checks that the monarch shared are still being accessed.

| PAShe explained: "Getting checked early means treatments are more likely to be successful, so it's really important. In most cases, it won't be cancer, but if it is, spotting it early means it could make all the difference.

"It just helps people understand if they might be eligible for cancer screening and gives people really helpful tips and advice from a team of celebrities to help tackle common barriers."
She added that the royal support is "so appreciated" and has "helped thousands of lives".

Catherine said: "On World Cancer Day, my thoughts are with everyone who is facing a cancer diagnosis, undergoing treatment or finding their way through recovery.
"Cancer touches so many lives. Not only patients, but the families, friends and caregivers who walk beside them.
"As anyone who has experienced this journey will know, it's not linear. There are moments of fear and exhaustion. But also moments of strength, kindness, and profound connection."
