Meghan Markle claimed in an interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021 that there was "concerns and conversations" within the Royal Family about how dark Prince Archie's skin might be when he was born

Omid Scobie has denied leaking the names of the Royal Family members who allegedly had concerns regarding Prince Archie's skin colour.

This week, two members of the Royal Family have been named as the 'royal racists' in the Dutch version of Scobie's book.

Publishers Xander Uitgevers have taken action to urgently remove the book from sale across stores in the Netherlands.

During an interview on ITV this morning, Scobie doubled down on distancing himself from the error in the Dutch versions of Endgame.

He said: "I had never submitted a book that had their names in it, so I can only talk about my version.

"I am obviously frustrated, I would not say I am upset about it.

"I have been operating in a bubble of no emotion for ten days."

It remains unclear why the Dutch translation of Endgame named specific individuals when no other foreign translations appear to do so.

Xander Uitgevers released a statement on Wednesday explaining why the book is no longer available for sale in the country.

The statement read: "The corrected edition of Final Battle [Endgame] by Omid Scobie will be available in bookstores on Friday, December 8.

"Xander Uitgevers was forced to temporarily withdraw the book from the market because an error had occurred in the Dutch edition."

The two royals named in the Dutch version of the book were identified on British television on Wednesday evening by Piers Morgan.

In the build-up to Endgame release, Scobie confirmed he did know the identity of the two royals that allegedly made the comments regarding Prince Archie.

Scobie has said he cannot name the royals due to UK law.

The royal author said: "Laws in the United Kingdom prevent me from reporting who they were."
