Nigel Farage has delivered his verdict after King Charles made the decision to strip Andrew of his prince title.
The GB News host said that the decision is "brutal" but it is "reflective of the modern media age".
The King's brother will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor.
Discussing the decision from the King, Nigel said: "King Edward the Eighth betrayed the country, broke his Coronation oath, walked away despite all the pledges he'd made in the abbey.

"Yet they made him the Duke of Windsor. He became the governor of the Bahamas.
"I mean, he wasn't necessarily welcomed back, but this is much more brutal. I guess this is the modern media and social media age, isn't it?"
Andrew has faced controversy in recent years due to his links to paedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein.
It is understood that although Andrew denies the accusations, Buckingham Palace considers that there have been "serious lapses of judgment".

In a statement, the Palace said: "Prince Andrew will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor.
"His lease on Royal Lodge has, to date, provided him with legal protection to continue in residence.
"Formal notice has now been served to surrender the lease and he will move to alternative private accommodation.
"These censures are deemed necessary, notwithstanding the fact that he continues to deny the allegations against him."

The statement added: "Their Majesties wish to make clear that their thoughts and utmost sympathies have been, and will remain with, the victims and survivors of any and all forms of abuse."
Sources say that while the King began the process of formally stripping Prince Andrew of his titles and honours, the Duke did not contest the decision.
The Prince of Wales is reported to support the King’s move, as does the wider Royal Family.
Andrew was formally notified on Thursday that he must return the lease on the Royal Lodge, with his relocation to Sandringham expected to happen "as soon as practicable".
The King is also understood to be making "appropriate private provision" for his brother during the transition.
His ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, will also be leaving the Royal Lodge and will make her own arrangements for accommodation.
