The First Lady looked exquisite in a designer suit

Queen Camilla chose to wear a denim blue wool dress designed by Anna Valentine for the farewell ceremony with Donald and Melania Trump at the White House today.

The Queen accessorised with a Tiffany brooch, a gift from the First Lady during the Windsor State Visit last year.

The choice of jewellery carried particular diplomatic significance, serving as a nod to the relationship between the two couples.

Anna Valentine has long been a favoured designer for the Queen, known for creating elegant pieces suited to formal occasions.

The outfit marked a polished conclusion to Their Majesties' four-day diplomatic tour of the United States.

Meanwhile, Mrs Trump stunned in a designer black suit with a white blouse for the occasion.

King Charles and Camilla said their goodbyes to President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump in the Diplomatic Reception Room, bringing the historic visit to a close.

This marked the end of a four-day state visit that began on April 27, representing the first such trip by a British monarch to America since Queen Elizabeth II visited during George W Bush's presidency in 2007.

The farewell engagement preceded a brief journey to Virginia, where King Charles and Queen Camilla are expected to attend a celebratory event before they leave the United States.

Throughout the visit, the royals participated in numerous engagements across Washington DC and New York, including a state dinner and bilateral discussions in the Oval Office.

A defining moment came when King Charles addressed a joint session of Congress, receiving multiple standing ovations from lawmakers on both sides of the aisle.

"Our nations may be separated by an ocean, but we are united by values that have endured for generations," the King told Congress, emphasising the enduring partnership between Britain and America.

The monarch also laid a wreath at the 9/11 Memorial and met with first responders and victims' families ahead of the attacks' 25th anniversary.
