The Duke and Duchess of Sussex founded the Archewell Foundation in October 2020

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry each worked on average just one hour per week for Archewell this year, as their foundation suffered a £536,357 loss.

According to the foundations' public disclosure of their accounts, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex only worked an hour each for the year 2022-23.

In comparison, the Executive Director, the Senior Strategic Adviser, and the Co-Executive Director all worked 40 hours each week.

But unlike Harry and Meghan, who were not paid for their hourly shift each week, these staff members all received a salary and a bonus.

In addition, Michael Dale Stein, the organisation's Senior Strategic Adviser, earned £140,116 in 2022 and was given £5,185 extra.

Finally, the Co-Executive Director Shauna Nep earned £92,994 in 2022 and was given a bonus worth £2,533.

This comes as the Archewell Foundation suffered a £536,357 loss this year due to a shortfall in donations.

This was a significant drop of over £8.7million from last year.

Accounts show that Archewell’s total revenue for this year totalled £1.5million, taking into account donations and income from investments.
