The WellChild Awards, the flagship event of the charity Harry has supported as patron since 2007, honours seriously ill children and their families.

“Prince Harry is in his element at the WellChild awards!” the outlet captioned the post.

During the event, Harry told 13-year-old award recipient Grace Tutt that he and Meghan have recently been watching the political thriller Hostage and the reality series Love Is Blind.

Harry also visited Nottingham on Tuesday, a location tied to his and Meghan’s first joint royal duty after announcing their engagement in December 2017.

The Duke of Sussex visited the Community Recording Studio, backed by BBC Children in Need.

He watched young people perform rap and even hugged one of the participants on stage.

During a speech, he announced a personal donation of £1.1million to the charity to support youth work focused on tackling violence and knife crime.

Harry described Nottingham as holding “a permanent place” in his heart, recalling years of engagement with local grassroots groups.

He also enjoyed some local jerk chicken, saying: “It really is banging,” which was met with laughter from the audience.

Before leaving, Harry carried out a short walkabout, greeting members of the public who had gathered outside the venue.

He shook hands, posed for photos and exchanged brief conversations before returning to his car.
