Omid Scobie reignited the Royal Family’s race row after two members of the Firm were named in Dutch copies of Endgame

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are “dismayed” by the race row engulfing the Royal Family, sources close to the Sussexes have claimed.

The row was reignited between the Firm and the Duke and Duchess after Omid Scobie’s Dutch translation of Endgame named two members of the Royal Family who were alleged to have made comments about Prince Archie’s skin colour.

Meghan and Harry “never intended” for the relatives to be named and described the situation as “incredibly unfortunate”, a source close to the couple told The Sunday Mirror.

The source also claimed the names were "not leaked to Scobie by anyone in her camp”.

However, Meghan previously raised the alleged discussion during the couple’s TV chat with Oprah Winfrey.

The 41-year-old claimed a senior royal had raised “concerns” over how dark Archie’s skin would be.

Buckingham Palace released a statement following the interview highlighting how “recollections may vary”.

Despite the controversy, the Firm is continuing with its business-as-usual approach.

However, Scobie was forced to address the situation as he continues to promote his book.

Scobie claimed he was “hurt” and “frustrated” by the week’s events.

He added: “It's not for me to apologise because I still want to know what's happened.”

Scobie previously described the situation as a “translation error” and revealed an “investigation” is underway.
