Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been left out of any updates on Princess Kate's health condition, according to a source.

The Princess of Wales underwent abdominal surgery in January 2024 and remained in the London Clinic for 13 days following the operation.


Princess Kate has been continuing her recovery process at her home in Windsor since leaving the hospital.

Prince Harry flew to the UK in February to visit King Charles after it was announced the monarch had been diagnosed with cancer.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been left out of any updates on Princess Kate's health condition, according to a source.

The Duke of Sussex did not see the Prince and Princess of Wales during his brief trip to London.

A royal insider has said that the Sussexes have not been informed of the details of Princess Kate's health.

A family source told People: "They are aware of everything that goes on back in England, but are being left out of any details regarding Kate."

They added: "There is clearly no trust."

Another source claimed Prince Harry not seeing Princess Kate following her operation is an indicator of how strained his relationship is with Prince William.

The insider said: "It would be the normal run of things to go and see your sister-in-law who's had a serious operation and also see your niece and nephews. But it isn't normal. It's terribly sad."

The Princess of Wales looks set to return to royal duties in the coming weeks.

Kate has been working from home on her early years project to improve the lives of babies.

Princess Kate could join the Royal Family at the annual Easter Matins service at St George’s Chapel on Easter Sunday.

Kensington Palace confirmed that the royal has been kept up to date with her campaign while she has been recovering from the significant operation.

A spokesman for Kensington Palace said: "The Princess has been kept updated throughout the process."

According to The Times, royal aides believe Princess Kate could join the Royal Family at the annual Easter Matins service at St George’s Chapel on Easter Sunday.

The princess is not expected to return to public duties until the week beginning April 15 as Kate's children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis return to school on April 17.
