Meghan Markle "jumped out of her chair" whilst she was attending a Taylor Swift concert, on a night out without her husband.

The royal attended Taylor Swift’s Era tour, at SoFi stadium in Los Angeles on Tuesday.

Her plus one for the evening was not her husband Harry, but instead her good friend Lucy Fraser.

Meghan was singing along with thousands of other Swifities to the pop star’s numerous chart-topping hits.

According to People, the Duchess “jumped out of her chair” to sing along to Swift’s 2008 hit “You Belong With Me”.

As the Duchess was belting out song after song, Harry was spotted arriving at Haneda Airport in Japan ahead of the ISPS Sports Values Summit-Special Edition in Tokyo.

Next up on his Asian tour is Singapore, for the Sentebale ISPS Honda Polo Cup.

Meghan’s appearance at the concert comes after the pop star declined to appear on Meghan’s Sportify podcast, Archetypes, as reported by the Wall Street Journal.

The royal asked Swift via a hand-written note, asking her to be a guest but the 33-year-old singer allegedly failed to respond herself.

Instead, a representative for Swift turned down the invitation.

Meghan and Harry’s podcast £34million Spotify contract has since been scrapped.

The series had 12 episodes and included guest appearances from Serena Williams, Mariah Carey and Paris Hilton but it left executives underwhelmed.

Meghan’s guest for the Eras tour concert was Brit Lucy Fraser, who has been a good friend of Meghan’s for many years.

She attended Harry and Meghan’s wedding in 2018.

Fraser was seen more recently seen in Netflix’s Harry and Meghan docuseries, where she recalled warning the star of the difficulties that could come from her romance with the Prince.

She said: “I remember saying to her, ‘When this goes public, it is not going to be easy. The UK media are notorious for doing whatever they can to get a story.”
