The Duchess of Sussex's husband Prince Harry also suffered a dip in the popularity

Meghan Markle's popularity in the UK has plummeted to its lowest point since tracking began in 2017, according to new YouGov data.

The Duchess of Sussex is now viewed positively by just 20% of Britons, whilst 65% see her negatively.

This represents a record low in her favourability ratings, marking a significant decline in public opinion towards the royal who relocated to California with Prince Harry.

These latest figures show only a slight change from February's survey, but mark a dramatic fall from 2019 when 55% of the public viewed her favourably.

The poll reveals stark generational differences in attitudes towards the Duchess.

Among 18-24 year olds, 38% hold a positive view of Meghan.

This contrasts sharply with just 8% of those aged 65 and over who view her favourably.

Prince Harry's popularity has also suffered following his recent bombshell BBC interview.

A significant 63% view him negatively, marking his worst polling performance since early 2023.

Like his wife, Prince Harry's support varies considerably by age, with younger Britons more likely to feel favourably toward him than older generations.

In stark contrast, other members of the royal family enjoy significantly higher approval ratings.
