Meghan Markle’s "homemade" product is actually made 2,000 miles away in an Illinois factory, according to new claims.
The Duchess of Sussex's As Ever raspberry jam was marketed as being "inspired by the recipe Meghan Markle crafted in her home kitchen."
However, it is actually manufactured in an Illinois factory operated by The Republic of Tea company.
The £6.50-a-jar spread has been promoted through Instagram videos showing a fruity mixture bubbling in a pot at her California home, with four-year-old daughter Lilibet praising it as "beautiful".

But the reality is that production takes place 2,000 miles away from Meghan's Montecito mansion.
This new development comes after the Republic of Tea, headquartered in Larkspur, California, was found to have produced its £9 herbal tea packs and sold-out orange blossom honey priced at £20 per jar.
The same factory produces a "strawberry and wild rose" preserve as part of a tie-up with Bridgerton, the Netflix series with which the Sussexes also have a deal.
Sources close to the Duchess told the Mail that to create the commercially available product, they "started with the version Meghan makes at home and worked to develop a version of it that could be produced at scale."
A source close to Meghan confirmed to the outlet that Republic of Tea makes her As Ever raspberry spread, but said the supplier was changing.
Netflix stated: "Netflix and As Ever take pride in working with best-in-class vendors that meet our high standards for exceptional products."
They added: "We're looking forward to continued success as we expand and release more As Ever products throughout the year and beyond."
With half a million visits to Meghan's As Ever website after the June 20 product drop, a commercial manufacturing partnership was necessary to meet customer demand.
LATEST ROYAL NEWS:
The berries for both her raspberry spread and newly-launched apricot spread are said to be California-grown and bottled.
Although neither the Sussexes nor Netflix has confirmed where the raspberries are sourced.
The Duchess has portrayed the preserve as an artisanal product, with her website describing the "signature" raspberry jam as deliberately "crafted with a fluid texture".
However, the truth about factory production has raised scrutiny of the brand's sustainability credentials, given that it had marketed the preserve as an artisanal "crafted" product for months.
