Meghan Markle's lifestyle brand, As Ever, has launched its first wine product today, a 2023 Napa Valley rosé priced at £24 per bottle. The wine became available on a brand new website at 4pm BST.

The Duchess of Sussex's brand describes the rosé as offering "soft notes of stone fruit, gentle minerality and a lasting finish". The wine represents As Ever's expansion into alcoholic beverages, marking a new product category for the brand that officially launched in April.

With 14.5 per cent ABV, the 750ml bottles are sold exclusively through a new website - Wine.AsEver.com - in sets of three for £72, half cases for £127, or full cases for £240.

On Monday, the brand promoted the launch on Instagram with a photograph of the bottle in an ice bucket, captioned: "Just one more sleep 'til the pour. Rosé joins the party tomorrow. Cheers!"

The wine is a proprietary blend incorporating Cabernet Sauvignon, Mourvèdre, Grenache and Syrah varietals.

As Ever describes the rosé as "inspired by a Provençal-style" and "harvested in the stunning wine country of Napa Valley".

The brand characterises it as "sophisticated, dry, and refreshing", designed for "summer's best moments from lunches that turn into dinners and sun-drenched weekends where the only thing louder than the music is the laughter".

This marks As Ever's third product launch since its debut. The first release sold out in less than an hour after the website went live, whilst the second launch proved equally successful, with products selling out within ten minutes.

The rosé is the beginning of As Ever's wine collection, with a Méthode Champenoise Napa Valley sparkling wine planned for the near future and additional varietals to follow.

The brand announced the wine offering on June 20.

The Duchess of Sussex has personally curated the blend, which As Ever describes as "a bespoke blend" launching "just in time for summer entertaining".

The wine launch comes as Prince Harry made a surprise appearance at the NEXUS Global Summit in New York City on Friday.

Speaking to 350 next-generation philanthropists and social entrepreneurs from more than 70 countries, the Duke of Sussex discussed his "experience of evolving from being born into a life of service to genuinely wanting to serve, while emphasising the importance of compassionate leadership".

During his address, Harry encouraged attendees to "tackle root causes rather than just symptoms" and to "demonstrate what values-driven leadership can accomplish".

He also spoke about his wife, describing her as the "most trolled person in the world".
