Meghan Markle is ‘lost’ as her As Ever brand is struggling amid a huge investment from Netflix, a source has claimed.
The Duchess of Sussex and the streaming giant confirmed this summer that their partnership included her lifestyle company as well as a multi-year, first-look deal for film and television projects.
However, an insider has claimed that Meghan is not making as much money from As Ever as she expected due to the significant portion of the profits that Netflix is receiving.
A source told the Mail: “At the moment she is literally lost because the whole jam-making business did not work out in the way she thought it would.
“Nobody has seen any figures, but I don't think they are that good.
“I know they just released a Sauvignon Blanc, but it's not going to make her lots of money because Netflix owns the business.”

Netflix, as an investor, will be taking a portion of any profits, and the streaming company has been heavily involved in running the business.
In her Bloomberg interview in August, Meghan confirmed that Netflix is currently the sole backer for her As Ever brand.
The Duchess of Sussex added that she is not currently seeking any new investors.
Meghan said regarding the Netflix investment in the business: "I thought that it would be great just to build out my own team and really do it purely on my terms, but then I also would say Netflix made a really compelling sell.”

Last month, Meghan Markle received major backing from Netflix’s co-chief executive Ted Sarandos.
Mr Sarandos hailed the influence the Duchess of Sussex holds and celebrated her and Prince Harry’s record-breaking debut documentary for the streaming platform.
He said: "One thing we learned early with Meghan... she has remarkable influence—remarkable.
"So when we did the documentary on her and Harry, the trailer, when we ran the trailer announcing it, people... hundreds of people... broke down every frame of the trailer.
"The $20 shoes that she got from...a village that was making these shoes sold out all over the world.
"And the $1,500 blanket that was on the chair sold out all over the world. She has incredible power and influence.“

The Netflix co-CEO continued: "And by the way, the documentary itself, was also one of the most watched documentaries we've ever had.
"So it was very it was successful in every measure. Now I don't think that you can have a consumer products business if you don't have a great entertainment business. So that's got to come first."
