Socialite Lizzie Cundy has hit out at the decision made to soft launch American Riviera Orchard's new product ahead of Trooping the Colour.
The royal occasion was particularly notable due to Princess Kate’s first public appearance since announcing her cancer diagnosis.
But Cundy said on GBN America that Meghan’s announcement threatened to overshadow the event.
She told Nana Akua: “The whole world was watching to see Princess Kate and how incredibly stunning, fragrant and beautiful she looked.

“We hadn’t seen her for seven months. Where has she been? We’ve been so worried about her.
“The sad thing was, Meghan, hours before Trooping the Colour, is launching dog biscuits which is really something else.

“Her friend posted about these new dog treats and it was all very Meghan-eque.
“They were posting four hours before posting King Charles’s official birthday which seems pretty desperate.”
The new product is the second that has been soft-launched by Meghan under her lifestyle brand American Riviera Orchard.
Eagle-eyed fans spotted the new product as her friends took to social media to show off pictures of their dogs enjoying the treat.

The Duchess of Sussex is yet to officially release her products into the marketplace.
Instead, users have been urged to enter their email to join its waitlist.
Meghan has dropped hints about the type of products the brand will be selling earlier this year when she sent out 50 limited edition jars of jam to several friends and influencers.
Some have suggested the brand will sell both edible and non-perishable products.
These include jams, marmalades, spread, body lotions, bath and shower gel, tea and coffee.
