Donald Trump is not happy with how Meghan treated the late Queen

Meghan Markle may consider a live TV debate with Donald Trump, according to royal biographer Angela Levin.

Levin believes the Duchess of Sussex may be open to such a proposal if she is serious about her political intentions.

It comes after the former US president announced his intention to go head-to-head with Meghan Markle in a debate.

Trump is keen to confront Meghan over how she allegedly treated the late Queen Elizabeth II during her time in the royal family.

Levin says Meghan “might” want to go face-to-face with Trump, but says the proposal is more of a “PR stunt”.

“The chances of getting her are small”, Levin said on GB News.

“Trump would eat her for breakfast, but she might want to do it if she is serious about being a politician.

“If she wants to be a politician, you have to win arguments, but I think underneath she has a thin skin and she doesn’t want to be attacked by him.”

When asked whether he would sit down with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, the former president called on Hugh Hewitt to “set it up”.

He added: “Let’s go do something. I’d love to debate her. I would love it.

“I disagree so much with what they are doing.”

The Duchess of Sussex branded the 77-year-old “divisive” and “misogynistic” in the run up to the 2016 election.

Speaking on US radio programme The Recount, Trump accused Meghan of treating the late Queen with “disrespect”, adding he “didn’t like the idea they were getting US security when they came here”.

He said: “I didn’t like the way she dealt with the Queen. I became very friendly with the Queen. She was an incredible woman.

“I think it’s not a good situation going on with the two of them, but I didn’t know that they don’t like me.

“Somebody mentioned it might be possible, they wouldn’t be the only ones.”

It’s not the first time Trump has blasted Meghan for her treatment of the Queen, making similar comments in March during a world exclusive interview with GB News.

He told Nigel Farage: "She went through years and decades without controversy.

"You cannot be disrespectful to her and I think Meghan was very disrespectful to her, very disrespectful."
