Meghan Markle wore "statement diamond jewellery" in Canada that held "great emotional value", a style expert has claimed.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex travelled to Vancouver last week to promote the 2025 Invictus Games, which will take place in the Canadian city.

Tony French, the Regional Sales Manager at Austen & Blake, noted that Meghan, 42, wore lots of pieces of jewellery, including her engagement ring which had not been seen for several months.

He said: "Meghan was photographed wearing her stunning three-stone trilogy engagement ring, wedding band and eternity ring on the trip.

"Eternity rings are traditionally gifted after a milestone anniversary or to celebrate the birth of a child, as they are a symbol of eternity, love, and commitment.

"Wearing these sentimental pieces of jewellery while travelling may give the wearer a sense of familiarity and act as a reminder of home life."

The Duchess of Sussex's eternity ring was gifted to her by Prince Harry on their first wedding anniversary in 2019.

French added: "Meghan’s diamond eternity ring is said to feature the birthstones of Meghan (a green peridot), Prince Archie (a green emerald), and Harry (a blue sapphire).

"Birthstones have long been used in jewellery as a meaningful way to honour both the wearer and loved ones, ensuring a piece holds even greater emotional value."

Meghan looked divine in a Greta Constantine green dress at the “One Year to Go” Invictus Games dinner.

According to French, the duchess accessorised with two pieces of "statement jewellery".

He commented: "Meghan was also spotted at a gala with Prince Harry at the Vancouver Convention Centre wearing two statement pieces of diamond jewellery.

"She wore a pair of elegant drop earrings and a diamond tennis necklace.

"The necklace appeared to be set with pear-shaped diamonds for a modern take on this classic style which most commonly includes round cut stones.

"The shorter length of the necklace also meant it truly shone when paired with the off-the-shoulder neckline of her olive green dress."
