The Sussexes are reportedly hoping to relaunch their careers after a tumultuous few months

Meghan Markle has been warned about “potential pitfalls” amid growing speculation she could soon look to relaunch her career by returning to a major social media platform.

The Duchess of Sussex, 42, was a regular poster on Instagram before meeting Prince Harry in July 2016.

However, it has been more than three years since the mother-of-two uploaded her last official post.

The joint royal account she had with the Duke of Sussex was also deactivated in 2020 when the couple stepped back as senior working members of the Royal Family.

But there is growing speculation the actress-turned-royal could make an imminent return to Instagram.

Meghan has reportedly claimed the @meghan handle which already managed to muster 123,000 followers, including pal Mandana Dayani.

However, an entertainment and showbiz expert has warned the Duchess about how such a move could play out.

Mark Boardman, CEO of MarkMeets, told The Daily Express US: "Meghan should carefully weigh the pros and cons of returning to Instagram.

LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:

"Her presence on the platform can be beneficial, allowing her to relaunch her career and share her life and projects on her own terms.

"However, she should be mindful of potential pitfalls, especially regarding comments on her posts. If she shares content that could be perceived as cryptic, egotistical, or overly focused on her royal past, it might attract negative attention.”

Boardman, who believes Meghan could command a huge fee of around $500,000 with each post, instead suggested the 42-year-old should remain selective about which content she shares.

Meghan and Harry returned to the spotlight on Friday night as the couple were spotted among thousands of fans crowded into Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium at Beyonce’s Renaissance tour.

The couple sat in a private box along with Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland and Suits co-star Abigail Spencer.

The members of their group, including the Sussexes, wore silver to match the singer's request that her fans wear the colour to her show.

The Duchess was seen clapping and waving her arms.

Mother Doria, who celebrated her 67th birthday yesterday, was meanwhile dancing along to the music.
