The Queen is marking her 78th birthday privately today

Meghan Markle has posted a video on her Instagram account showing birthday greetings being sent to unidentified recipients, sharing the message on the eve of Queen Camilla's 78th birthday.

The Wednesday post featured wooden boxes containing bottles of Meghan's As Ever rosé wine nestled in straw.

A subsequent clip displayed the bottles arranged with flowers and fruit.

"Sending birthday love (both near and far) to my ladies," read the caption accompanying the video.

Meghan, who resides in Montecito, California, with Prince Harry and their two children, did not specify which "ladies" were receiving the wine gifts.

Meghan Markle has posted a video on Instagram account showing birthday greetings being sent to unidentified recipients, sharing the message on the eve of Queen Camilla's 78th birthday.

The video revealed a carefully curated presentation, beginning with Meghan opening a wooden box to display three bottles of her rosé brand lying in decorative straw.

The footage then transitioned to show the wine bottles artfully arranged amongst fresh flowers and fruit.

The timing of the post came on the eve of Queen Camilla's birthday.

The Queen, who was on official duty for her birthday last year, attending the State Opening of Parliament alongside King Charles III, is expected to mark this year's celebration privately.

Buckingham Palace commemorated the occasion by releasing a new photograph of the Queen on Wednesday.

The photograph captured the Queen in relaxed spirits at Raymill, her private residence in Wiltshire.

Taken by Chris Jackson earlier this month, the image showed Camilla leaning against a fence post in a field of tall grass beneath bright summer sunshine.

She wore a striking teal button-up blouse decorated with jungle motifs featuring green foliage and tropical creatures, including parrots, flamingos and monkeys.

The Queen completed her look with gold hoop earrings, a gold bracelet and her characteristic rings.

The birthday portrait followed another recently published photograph from her visit to Battersea Dogs and Cats Home.

Buckingham Palace commemorated the occasion by releasing a new photograph of the Queen on Wednesday.

That image, also photographed by Chris Jackson at the Raymill grounds, featured Camilla embracing her newly adopted rescue puppy, Moley.

She wore the same tropical-print blouse as in her birthday photograph.

The Queen appeared delighted in the photograph as Moley gazed curiously at the camera with alert ears.

The palace captioned the image: "It was a fantastic afternoon at @Battersea - we are so grateful for all that you do!"

The caption playfully noted: "Whilst Moley was keeping cool at home, he wishes he could have been reunited with some of his old friends."
