"The cookbook is a captivating collection of stories and recipes from renowned chefs, local cooks, and friends of the global nonprofit, which feeds communities impacted by natural disasters and humanitarian crises.
"All author proceeds will support WCK’s emergency response efforts, and Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex is proud to have contributed a recipe.
"In March 2021, The Duchess sent a Lemon Olive Oil cake, which is included in the book, to a group of female restaurateurs who partnered with WCK to provide meals to their community during the pandemic."
The statement also included a letter from the Duchess which was sent alongside the cake.
It read: "Sometimes we overlook how much it matters to express thanks and show appreciation. Perhaps we realise now more than ever that fundamental human moments, like enjoying a meal together, fill us up with more than just food (even if that food is delicious!).
"To that point, we hope you enjoy the offering we baked for you—a small token of thanks, from our home to yours. Our hope with this effort is to show that, when we all participate, even the smallest actions can have a ripple effect. Even individual actions can impact the whole of us.”
Concluding the statement, the Archewell foundation said: "Over the past few years, The Archewell Foundation has partnered closely with World Central Kitchen in a shared mission to create more compassionate, strong and healthy communities.
"Most recently, The Archewell Foundation supported the development of four community relief centres across the globe, and their meal distribution efforts in Ukraine."

Andrés expressed his support in Time magazine for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in 2021.
This was the year in which the magazine included the two royals in its 100 most influential people list.
Praising the Sussexes, the chef wrote: "That’s not what Harry and Meghan do, or who they are. They turn compassion into boots on the ground through their Archewell Foundation.
"They give voice to the voiceless through media production. Hand in hand with nonprofit partners, they take risks to help communities in need—offering mental-health support to Black women and girls in the US, and feeding those affected by natural disasters in India and the Caribbean."
