Lady Louise Winter’s unusual sense of style which combines elegance and thriftiness has stemmed from her aristocracy, a celebrity stylist has said.
The young royal, who is currently studying English Literature at St Andrews, has been described as an “English rose that is blossoming”.
The 20-year-old turned heads when she was spotted wearing the dress she wore to the King’s Coronation to this year’s Trooping the Colour - a blue and white Suzannah London gown.
Lady Louise, the daughter of Prince Edward and Sophie, decided to sweep her blonde locks into an elegant up-do and completed the ensemble with a smart baby-blue fascinator atop her hair.
Leading celebrity stylist Alex Longmore has said that Lady Louise is now emerging as a new fashion icon within the Royal Family.
“Lady Louise isn't trying to make a statement, she is aristocratic and not fashion conscious,” she told the Daily Mail.
“It is intimidating stepping out as a member of the royal family and she has been doing it tactfully with a slow progression as she gains confidence,” she added.
The stylist also drew similarity to Lady Louise’s style with her own mother’s, however stated that “she is slowly gathering the reins as she does carriage driving”.
ROYAL LATEST:
The 20-year-old keeps a relatively low profile in Scotland, but in recent years has stepped out at high profile occasions alongside her parents.
She is a keen horse rider - participating in carriage driving competitions, with the most recent being over the weekend.
On a scorching day with highs of 25C, Lady Louise wore cream trousers and a navy blue t-shirt, opting to leave the blazer behind.
The 20-year-old made her debut in carriage driving competitions three years ago.
Her passion for carriage driving was sparked by her grandfather, the late Prince Philip, who adored the sport and encouraged her to take it up.
Last month, the 20-year-old was pictured with a man at the Sandringham Horse Driving Trials in Norfolk, where she competed for the first time.
The male companion in question - Felix da Silva-Clamp - is reported to have met the young royal at St Andrews University, where Lady Louise studies English Literature.
Silva-Clamp, who was dressed in grey chinos and a blue jacket, was seen arriving at the event with Lady Louise's mother, Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, 59, who was dressed casually in khaki skinny jeans, a khaki coat and a light-blue jumper.
Together, they watched Lady Louise perform in the dressage before Clamp accompanied her on a walk around the carriage driving course.
