King Frederik and Queen Mary of Denmark have moved to their traditional summer residence, Gråsten Palace in South Jutland, a cherished retreat for the Danish royals since 1935.
As is customary, the royal couple are expected to meet with local residents to mark their arrival in the area.
The King and Queen of Denmark have not been seen publicly since early July, with Queen Margrethe and Crown Prince Christian stepping in as regents.
Frederik's absence suggested the monarch was taking time off from official duties.

This transition in the Danish monarchy took place after Queen Margrethe announced her abdication on New Year's Eve, 2023.
King Frederik also has a brother named Prince Joachim, who lives in the US with his wife, Princess Marie.
Prince Joachim relocated his family to the US after accepting a job role as defence industry attaché at the Danish Embassy in Washington, DC.
This move, which occurred in the summer of 2023, was part of a broader effort to strengthen Denmark's defence industrial cooperation with the United States and Canada.
