A former royal correspondent has claimed that Royal Family life will be "changed forever" following King Charles's cancer diagnosis.
The King is currently travelling between his residences in Sandringham and London to receive treatment for "a form of cancer".
The diagnosis, announced earlier this month by Buckingham Palace, followed a hospital trip by the monarch to receive treatment for a "benign enlarged prostate", and it is believed that the cancer was found during the procedure.
King Charles has since thanked his royal supporters around the world for their well-wishes, issuing a statement on the Royal Family's official X page.

The King's statement read: "I would like to express my most heartfelt thanks for the many messages of support and good wishes I have received in recent days.
"As all those who have been affected by cancer will know, such kind thoughts are the greatest comfort and encouragement."
Speaking to GBN America, former royal correspondent Michael Cole said King Charles can "never be faulted" for his lack of work.
Host Nana Akua expressed her concern for the King's health and questioned if he is only "appearing to be working" to give supporters the "facade" that "everything is okay".

Cole revealed: "He really loves statecraft. He loves to be involved. He is very interested in many, many subjects, and I believe that the affairs of state will continue."
He added that although the monarch will continue working, the Royal Family will be "changed forever" following the diagnosis.
Michael Cole says Prince William will have to 'step up' in the King's absence
GBN America
Cole told GBN America: "Since the announcement was made that he was suffering from an undisclosed form of cancer, of course his whole program has had to be rescheduled, and things will change very much so.
"Other members of the royal family, like Prince William, the heir apparent, will have to step up and do more. Of course that's complicated because at the same time his wife, the Princess of Wales, Kate, is also suffering also an undisclosed form of illness."
Cole said of Kate's health: "Without any doubt, the surgery she underwent at The London Clinic was no minor matter. She was in there for 13 nights, 14 days, and we don't know what's wrong, but it's obviously major.
"She's now recovering up at their house and on the Sandringham estate up in Norfolk, near the North Seacoast. And we wish her well, of course we do. But Prince William's definitely got her on his mind."
