A royal correspondent has said that The King would "not have embraced" Prince Harry when he made his brief visit to the UK last week.
The Duke of Sussex flew from the US to the UK after news broke that King Charles had been diagnosed with a "form of cancer."
Harry arrived at Heathrow airport and traveled to Clarence House to see his father for no longer than 45 minutes before The King and Queen headed to Sandringham and Harry went to his hotel.
Prince Harry then left the following day and returned to his wife and children in the States.

GettySpeaking to GBN America former BBC royal correspondent Michael Cole blasted The Duke for his brief visit.
He said: "Apart from collecting 11,000 air miles, it's difficult to see what was achieved by this flight over the pole, to see his father, that couldn't have been achieved by a 45-minute video call such as the one I'm having with you now.

"It is customary in the Royal Family for male members to greet each other with a kiss on the cheek.
"Now that could not possibly have happened because The King is undergoing treatment for cancer and, as many people watching this program will know, infection has to be avoided during treatment of cancer.
"So there was no question of The King embracing his prodigal son, when he returned to Clarence House, the official residence of the King in London."
This comes as The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have rebranded their former Archewell website to a new, glossier look, and it dons the Sussex title.
Reacting to the site's rebranding, former royal correspondent Michael Cole claims the decision to have their regal titles on the website is "illegal".
Cole added that the use of a royal title or royal residence in order to sell a product is "illegal" and is "not allowed" for commercial purposes.
He explained to GBN America: "When the Duke and Duchess of Sussex scooted off first to Canada and then to California, which was probably always her intended destination, it was made clear to them that although they would retain the honorific titles Her Royal Highness and His Royal Highness, Their Royal Highnesses, they were not allowed to use those letters."

Cole stated that the couple are "cocking a snook" at Buckingham Palace and the Royal Family by displaying their coat of arms in this manner.
He continued: "In fact it's not correct to say that Sussex is their surname. Sussex is two rather lovely counties in this country, West Sussex and East Sussex. But Prince Harry's birth name was Mountbatten Windsor.
"That's the family name of the Royal Family of this country.
"It's the House of Windsor, but the actual name the children are born into is Mountbatten Windsor."
