This week, the Duke of Kent returned to work just weeks after the death of the Duchess of Kent.

The Court Circular, which documents engagements undertaken by working members of the Royal Family, showed that Prince Edward, Duke of Kent was out in West London on Tuesday evening.

The entry read: "The Duke of Kent, Patron, Wigmore Hall, this evening attended a Concert at 36 Wigmore Street, London W1."

The Duke, a renowned lover of classical music, has attended concerts and galas at the London venue for several years.

The outing marked a rare official engagement for the Duke of Kent.

Despite not completely retiring from royal duties, the 90-year-old has significantly scaled back his public engagements in recent years.

The Duke of Kent retired from his long-standing role as Colonel of the Scots Guard in April 2024.

He continues to carry out some engagements and remains a working member of the Royal Family, though his duties have decreased as he has aged.
