King Charles has joined forces with David Attenborough in a surprise central London outing.

The King, 76, met the British broadcaster and biologist upon his arrival at the World Premier "Ocean with David Attenborough".

The premiere took place at the Royal Festival Hall in London.

King Charles wore a black bow tie and suit on the blue carpet, taking the place of the traditional red carpet to keep with the theme.

Other famous attendees at the premiere included Felicity Jones, Geri Halliwell-Horner, and Cara Delevingne.

The film, which is set to debut in cinemas before streaming on Disney+, focuses on sharing “the story of how we can, and must, restore the glory of Earth’s vast, interconnected waters,” according to a press release.

King Charles is a longtime champion of sustainability, including protecting nature and the oceans.

On February 19, 1970, he marked the "growing menace" of oil and plastic pollution in the sea during a speech at the "Countryside In 1970" conference.

The Queen, 77, joined five-year-old Harrison Machin at the Tower of London for a VE Day event.
