Princess Kate's significant involvement in the State Visit has been hailed by a source close to President Trump's team.
The Princess of Wales will take part in the carriage procession and State Banquet on Wednesday.
The royal will then team up with the First Lady of the United States on Thursday to carry out a royal engagement.
Kate and Melania will meet Chief Scout Dwayne Fields at Frogmore Gardens, where they will be introduced to members of the Scouts’ Squirrels programme who are working towards their Go Wild nature badge.

A source said regarding the Princess of Wales's role: "The inclusion of Princess Kate in so many events during the State Visit is an honour."
On Tuesday, Princess Kate supported King Charles at the Duchess of Kent’s funeral alongside Prince William following Queen Camilla’s withdrawal from the service.
Buckingham Palace announced just hours before the funeral was due to begin that Queen Camilla would not be attending due to a health issue.
The Queen is recovering from acute sinusitis and is resting ahead of a meeting Donald Trump and Melania Trump this afternoon.

The Queen is scheduled to play a major role in the State Visit if she is able to recover from the health condition.
Buckingham Palace said in a statement released yesterday: "With great regret, Her Majesty The Queen has withdrawn from attendance at this afternoon’s Requiem Mass for The Duchess of Kent as she is recovering from acute sinusitis.
"Her thoughts and prayers will be with The Duke of Kent and all the family."
The Duke of Kent was informed of Camilla’s decision to miss the Duchess of Kent's funeral and sent his best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Donald Trump was full of praise for King Charles after arriving in the UK on Tuesday evening.
The President of the US told reporters that he had been friends with King Charles and Queen Camilla for a long time.
President Trump added that Charles was an "elegant gentlemen" and doing a good job in the role of monarch.
He said: "They're friends of mine for a long time, since before he was King and it's an honour to have him as King.
"I think he represents the country so well. He's such an elegant gentleman."
