This evening, the formal white tie banquet is being hosted by the King in St George's Hall in honour of the French state visit to the UK.
President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte will be guests of honour at the first State Banquet held at Windsor Castle since 2014, due to ongoing reservicing work at Buckingham Palace.
A specially decorated 50-meter table runs the full length of the medieval hall, and will sit around 160 guests.

Despite speculation that King Charles is subtly referring to illegal migrants crossing the English Channel in small boats, a royal source was keen to play down that suggestion.
Instead, the King is thought to be referring to joint defence and technological ties, as well as the joint fight against climate change.
King Charles remains above politics and is deploying so-called "soft power" ahead of President Macron attending political crunch talks in Downing Street on Thursday, alongside the Prime Minister, Sir Keir Starmer.
