"I’m really happy and honoured to see that the princess had kept it for such an important state occasion."
Mr Gn, originally from Singapore, founded his namesake fashion house, the House of Andrew Gn, in Paris in 1995.
He launched the brand from his apartment, beginning with an assistant and a sewing machine, before it grew into a 28-year independent business that showcased at Paris Fashion Week.
The house officially closed in December 2023.

Mr Gn continued to tell the People's Channel: "The House of Andrew Gn believes in producing beautifully designed and well-crafted garments that will last in time and be relevant years after.
"They could eventually be handed to the next generation.
"We hence call them heritage pieces. So yes, this is how we keep a lasting relationship."
It is unclear what occasion the dress was originally designed for, but its green colour provided the perfect opportunity for Catherine to celebrate the Nigerian President and First Lady, given the country's flag features both green and white.
