Princess Kate and Prince William's social media team has issued a correction after making a small error.

The Prince and Princess of Wales's X (formerly Twitter) account made a post at 7.48pm about Prince William attending the 7/7 London Bombings Memorial Service in Hyde Park.

However, the Kensington Palace social media team appeared to make a mistake within the post.

The post read: "And copy: Remembering the victims of the 7/7 attacks on this 20 year anniversary by joining survivors and bereaved families at the Memorial Gardens in Hyde Park this afternoon."

The words "And copy" appeared to be a error, as Kate and William's social media team quickly deleted the post.

Before it was deleted, several royal fans replied noticing the error.

Several simply replied saying: "And copy??"

Another royal watcher quipped: "Someone clearly forgot to shave the first two words off in the copy pasting."

A corrected version was posted at 8.30pm without the words "And copy".

The message continued: "Our thoughts remain with the families and friends of those who lost their lives, and with those who bear the scars of the attacks to this day."

Prince William met with the survivors of the 7/7 bombings at the Hyde Park Memorial Service as they shared their stories alongside the bereaved family members.

The future King laid a wreath in memory of the 52 people who died in the horrific attack.

Four suicide bombers targeted three tubes and a bus on July 7, 2005, in the worst single atrocity on British soil, killing 52 and injuring hundreds more.

Earlier on Monday, Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Prince Edward and the Duchess of Edinburgh gathered alongside bereaved relatives, survivors and emergency workers in St Paul's Cathedral to mark the anniversary.

In his message to mark the anniversary, King Charles said comfort can be taken from the “spirit of unity” in London and the country more broadly, which has allowed the nation to heal.

He said: “Today, as we mark 20 years since the tragic events of 7th July 2005, my heartfelt thoughts and special prayers remain with all those whose lives were forever changed on that terrible summer’s day.”
