Princess Kate and Prince William ‘asked Harry and Meghan to visit’ with their children, according to a royal source.

There have been tensions between the Duke and the Duchess of Sussex and the Royal Family since they left the family to live in the US.

But according to royal author, Tom Quinn, the Prince and Princess of Wales tried to fix this by suggesting that the couple visit with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

Harry and Meghan stepped down as working members of the Royal Family in 2020, and moved to the US, via a short stay in Canada to start their new lives.

Quinn said: “William and Kate have suggested that Meghan and Harry bring their children and that the two couples and their families try to make up, but the suggestion is not leading anywhere so far.”

He told The Daily Mirror: “There is no way Meghan would bring the children to the UK.”

Archie and Lilibet did not visit the UK in 2023 despite their father Harry making several trips back.

Meghan and the children also did not accompany Prince Harry to the UK when he visited his father in February 2024.

It was previously reported that Meghan does not want to return to the UK because she refuses to “dive back into the soap opera,” according to royal author Omid Scobie.

Quinn also spoke about Harry and Meghan’s children missing out on traditional Royal Family Easter traditions this weekend.

He said: “The Royal Family traditionally meet on Easter Sunday at Windsor for a service in St George's Chapel, followed by a brief walkabout and then a very traditional lunch of roast lamb.

“Harry always enjoyed this tradition because he got to meet an adoring public for a short period.”

Harry and Meghan spent Easter with their children in the US while the Prince and the Princess of Wales were on holiday in Norfolk.

Quinn continued: “But what's really going to upset Harry this year is that his children will miss out on the Easter egg hunt that takes place afterwards.

“And of course, it would've given Archie and Lillibet a chance to get to know George, Charlotte and Louis. The family rift is going to prevent this and Harry will feel it keenly.”

Meghan and Harry were expected to bring their children to the UK in September 2022, but they decided not to come due to safety concerns.
